Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat

The Witham, Barnard Castle, 9-11 December 2021

Teesdale Operatic Society

In December 2021, I was involved in my first musical production, playing Pharaoh and Gad in Teesdale Operatic Society's inaugural production, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. The show was an enormous success, achieving a complete run sell-out some two weeks ahead of the opening night, in a high-capacity arrangement of The Witham in Barnard Castle.

It was an absolute pleasure to be involved with such a fun, ambitious and impressive show, and the feedback we received was phenomenal. Here is the review from NODA, the National Operatics and Dramatics Association. From that piece: "I did [...] absolutely love Peter Rhodes as Pharaoh, who had us dancing in our seats, delivering his number with such energy [...]".

Having never performed any sort of music publicly before, the success of this show has made me hungry for more musical theatre.
